Wedding

A friend asked me to make something for her brother and sister-in-law as a wedding present.  The bride loves Mexican folk art, so here is what I came up with.  Sorry the photo is a little crooked.

I have a bunch of old photo booth pictures that I bought at a yard sale years ago.  I have always wanted to paint them.  Here is my first of many.

Sorry for the long hiatus...I am back!  Here is my idea for my friends cd cover.  The drawing is sectioned off because I thought I might do a small wave in the middle square and just have a block of color on the outside.  I liked the large version the best. 

 The wave is painted on plexiglass.  This view is the glass side out.

 I liked the texture on the back so I decided to outline it in black as well.

I so, so very behind and I am sorry about that.  I have been working on projects for school and am a bit drained as well.  Hang in there with me, I should have something up soon.

A friend of mine asked me to draw or paint a picture for the cover of his album.  He wanted ocean waves.  I will post the one we choose soon (none of these).

Here is a little painting of a small treat.  I got the frame from Anthropology and wanted something to go in it. 

I will be in D.C. for a few days, so there will be no posts but I will still be creating while I am away.

Valentines Day

There are a few drawings today.  I am trying to get caught up.  The first one is from the exercise album.  The second is a chocolate truffle, inside and out.  The third is a candy heart.

I am sorry for the lack of posts.  I am getting over the flu.  It really wiped me out.  I did not feel like doing anything.  I was definitely in the doldrums.  Well,  I am going to make this blue bubble skirt for my post tomorrow.

Well, I finally got something done today.  I got this silk remnant on Sunday, hoping to have it finished by Monday.  I was just a day off I suppose.  I am going to catch up this week...hopefully.

Sorry about being MIA for a few days.  I have not been feeling very well...lack of energy.  All I had in me to do today was photograph lunch...sorry.

Billboard

The Covenant School asked me to take a photo for a billboard.  My daughter got to be in it as well.  I took the photo and someone else designed it.  A ballerina from The Nashville Ballet came and talked at school today.  She did a great job with the kids.

The lunch at school was Salisbury steak but the sushi was enjoyed by Mike and me.

YUM!  I didn't know if I would finish today.  The power went out for a couple of hours tonight.

I got this picture out of a magazine.  The day was a little crazy and kind of got away from me.  I also forgot to photograph lunch today.  Too bad, because the lunch was ham, carrots, roasted potatoes, and a banana...very colorful.

Kandinsky's lunch

Today was a friends birthday and one of her favorite artists is Kandinsky.  I decided to do a piece inspired by him.  I haven't looked at his work in a long time and did this from what I remember from his work.

Lunch today was pasta!  It kind of reminds me of the art piece today...I just need to add some blue.

Loteria Lingerie

 I drew a picture of the undergarment and then put it on velum and put different lace fabrics on it.  I outlined it with gold seed beads and put it on a Loteria card.
